« How can you do the Rubik’s Cube? »
That’s really the question here.
Well, first of all, don’t think that you can do it alone. You may be smart but Ernő Rubik, the creator of the Rubik’s Cube, took a whole month to solve his own creation. And he was working really hard at it every day.
So here’s how I did it.
I threw away the notice
When it comes to solving a such difficult puzzle that is the Rubik’s Cube, I would encourage you to watch a video rather than reading countless algorithms.
Indeed, in order to really memorize and understand how to do it, you should use your visual memory (with images) associated with your auditory memory (the voice of the person speaking).
I watched a video to learn how to do it
The first video that I watched on Youtube, I thought:
« There is so many possibilities. No way I can remember all of them. »
So as I was watching the video I managed to finish the Rubik’s Cube. But there was no way I could do it again on my own.
So I picked a few techniques and algorithms I liked from this video and moved on.
This way I could at least do the first steps of the Rubik’s Cube.
I watched a lot of different videos
So this is my best tip to you:
Watching a lot of videos on Youtube and picking the techniques for each step that are the easiest for you.
This is hard. You are going to find a lot of videos out there. But yet, not so many because they all say the same thing. Well, not all of them.
And that’s what you need to find: videos that explain how to do the Rubik’s Cube in a different way than the others.
My overall way of doing the Rubik’s Cube is just an incrementation of techniques I have found for each step.
Because almost every one has a different technique, except the top speedcubers.
Personally, my best time is 1:54min. And if I want to do it faster, I will need to find other techniques.
I Hope That Helped You In Your Approach To Finally DO THE RUBIK’S CUBE.
